More interior property damage is caused by water than by any other substance.

Whether a result of flooding, fires, burst pipes, or storms, it’s critical to quickly and effectively extract water and address its aftermath immediately to prevent further – and more expensive – damage. ATI’s water damage restoration team has the experience and expertise necessary to get your home or business back to pre-loss condition in no time.

Water Damage Restoration Process

Once our team receives your call, our crew is dispatched right away to assess the situation at the loss location and review the scope of the clean-up process with you.

ATI’s three-step water damage restoration process involves three steps:

Water Extraction

We remove all standing water from the floors. We’ll then determine if the floor coverings and pads can be dried in place or if they need to be removed.

Detection

Our state-of-the-art moisture detection tools will find hidden water damage in places like trim work, cabinets, drywall, and plaster. We’ll either dry them in place using our advanced equipment or remove them – or both, if needed.

Drying

Typically, we will use a combination of negative air machines, dehumidifiers, and fans to dry out a location. Not all drying strategies are effective for all locations, so we take many factors into account to determine the best course of drying action.

Three Categories of Water Damage

Water damage is typically categorized into three groups; this categorization helps perform loss assessments and determine extraction and drying methods.

Clean Water

Water originating from a source that poses no substantial threat to humans, including water supply lines, melting snow or ice, rainwater, toilet tanks and toilet bowls.

Gray Water

Water originating from a source that poses no substantial threat to humans, including water supply lines, melting snow or ice, rainwater, toilet tanks and toilet bowls.

Black Water

Water containing pathogenic agents that is immensely unsanitary, carrying a high risk for humans, especially those with compromised immune systems, allergies, respiratory problems, along with young children and the elderly. This water is toxic.
